Orientation Staff

The people of Allen Hall hail from all walks of life, and that's no different among the orientation staff. At Allen Hall, you will meet a variety of people. Start by meeting our staff!

Robin Amado

A well-read bookworm from Highland Park, Illinois and now English major student, Robin spends her free time reading and writing poetry. Outside of that, she rides her bike, eats ice cream, kickboxes, silly dances, and likes watching people in the sunshine.

Fadi

The television show most admired by Fadi is Boy Meets World, for depicting its young main character's responsibilities. Having played videogames since the times of the Atari console, he still admires modern videogames such as Pokémon.

John S.

John prefers popular artists such as Bon Jovi and also admires 1990s movies, videogames, and televisions shows. These include Shawshank Redemption, Sega Genesis games, and One Saturday Morning respectively.

J. Schlens

A political science major from Palos Heights, Illinois, J. loves listening to instrumental music. This goes especially for the guitar, which he also know how to play. He also bikes and drives.

Kesha Butler

Sometimes considering herself and overprotected girl, Kesha went through life without recognizing the impact of the World Trade Center bombings, Oklahoma City bombings, and Columbine High School shootings. Still, she is a fan of pop star Britney Spears. She is from Uptown Chicago, Illinois. She is intrigued by the countless interpretations of Thomas More's Utopia.

Kevin Swanson

Kevin started playing videogames with the NES, started music listening with Napster, and started watching movies with The Lion King. He is from Oakland Park, Illinois and studies Environmental Engineering at Illinois.

Lihy Epstein

Lihy played Sega Genesis, likes Pretty Woman, and enjoyed watching television shows like My So-Called Life as a child. Coming from Northbrook, Illinois, she is a fan of the Chicago Bulls. She is currently undecided about her major.

Nerijus Aleksa

A prudent Physics student who grew up without the influence of television, Nerijus pursued activities such as playing violin and swimming. He listens to Radiohead and plays Game Boy in his spare time.

Mark Andrew-Aguirre

Coming from the Illinoisan corn town of Plainfield, Illinois, Mark studies Economics with a double minor in Political Science and International Studies at Illinois. He is interested in the Chinese economy and admires train line maps and building schematics.

Diane Maes

Diane enjoyed her life in grade school, when she could still handle the two-dimensional NES graphics, not concentrate on academics, and play the NES. She also enjoys understanding more about Dinosaurs. She now studies Advertising.

Megan M.

Megan likes movies, books, and catchy television shows such as Pokémon and Hey Arnold!, in spite of the fact that she had limited contact with videogames. She is from northwestern Chicago, Illinois.

Mike H.

Mike prefers the current decade over the 1990s, and is not an avid movie watcher or music listener. He started playing videogames with the Game Boy. There's more to him than meets the eye.

Allison Weigel

Double majoring in History and English, Allison likes doing yoga, reading novels, and stargazing in the Mississippi River plains near St. Louis, Missouri where she comes from. Her favorite book is Pride and Prejudice.

F. M. Salem

F. M. studies Architecture at Illinois. He discusses world issues and plays frisbee when hanging out with friends. He comes from the south side of Chicago.

Heidi Tucker

A Mathematics and Speech Communications major from Elmhurst, Illinois, Heidi likes running, singing, and dancing. She specifically enjoyed The Amber Spyglass in the Golden Compass series as well as Harry Potter.
